Ohio's March Against Madness at the University of Toledo

Ohio's March Against Madness is a protest tournament that starts today, Saturday, March 26, 2011 and will continue on Saturday, April 2, 2011 and Saturday, April 9, 2011. The local protest starts today, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at the University of Toledo in front of the Student Union.

According to the Facebook page for the Univerity of Toledo event, it is "a grassroots effort of college students, teachers, and workers to stop Governor Kasich’s attack on Ohio’s middle class. From Senate Bill-05 to his job-killing budget, Governor Kasich has shown in less then 90 days how out if touch he is with the values of Ohio’s working families. We stand united with workers everywhere to save our schools, save our jobs, and save our state."

The tournament will be held "on 16 Ohio campuses, we will be protesting the governor’s destructive policies and budget. The protests will start at noon at each school’s student union and will be organized by each school’s/communities progressive organizations.

The goal is to attract more protestors to your school than the school you are matched against. Make it fun, do what you like and always keep it peaceful!

The protests will grow as campuses are combined at the previous winner’s home site for the next two rounds." So if you have off of work today and want to stand up for Toledo's middle class get out there and make a difference!
