On Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 8:00 pm there will be live performances by local bands Microdot and Peregrine at Mickey Finn's Pub. The performances will be part of the "Miserable City...you're in good company" project which is being led by Justajunkie Films producer Tim Ide, Megan Bremer and Toby Fey.
Microdot band members: Nathan Mattimoe, Ben Langlois, Russell M Jones, and Alan Leizerman.
Peregrine band members: Dan Kosmider, Kenny Poupard, Chad Morgan, and Javier Rodriguez.

Record Store Day at Culture Clash Records
On Saturday, April 16, 2011, starting at 10:00 am, Culture Clash Records is going to have exciting live performances and exclusive releases as part of their Record Store Day event.
Bands that will be performing are:
1:00 pm-The Black Angels
2:00 pm- Suuns
3:00 pm- Frank & Jesse
Toledo Natural Food Co-op, formerly known as the "Phoenix Earth Food Co-op", will also be there to share information about their efforts in providing healthy food options to the local community.

Benefit show for Japan at Ottawa Tavern
The Ottawa Tavern will be hosting a benefit, this Friday, March 25, 2011 and Saturday, March 26, 2011, to raise money for the relief effort in Japan. There will be fourteen bands performing over the course of the two shows.
On Friday night there will be performances by:
People Being Human
A Minor Solution
33 &1/3, Sangsara
Frank & Jesse
On Saturday night there will be performances by:
The Staving Chain
Hemline Theory
Prayers For Rain
The cost for admission is a $10 donation at the door which gives you access to the entertainment at both performances. All proceeds will go directly to The Red Cross to help assist with their relief efforts. They are also accepting donations of bags of rice. Food items will be collected and given to the ISOH/Impact who will ship it directly to Japan.

Mickey Finn's Pub hosts open call for video shoots of local artists
Are you looking for a bigger audience to enjoy your music, poetry, or visual art? If so, Mickey Finn's Pub will begin shooting local talent for their compilation dvd series and local television show on Thursday, March, 3, 2011.
There will be filming of local talent every Thursday, starting at 8:00 pm, until it seems as though every available artist in the Northwest Ohio area has been covered. All styles and mediums of artists and bands are encouraged to participate in this event.
Each participant will receive a copy of a dvd highlighting the footage of their performance and/or exhibition. Also, participants will be given an uploadable track that they can post on their web page.
Talent is being booked on a first come/first served basis. So if you would like to be included in this exciting project, and want to see your talent being showcased on both a series of dvds and a television show, send a response by email to justajunkie@yahoo.com. When corresponding, please make sure that the subject line says "Video" so that it does not get classified as spam mail.

The Ground Level Reading Room Vol. 1 poetry event
On Wednesday, March 16, 2011, the Ground Level will be hosting its first open mic poetry reading since their coffee shop closed in November 2010.The event is called "The Ground Level Reading Room Vol. 1."
It will take place from 8:00 pm to midnight, at the Bozarts Arts and Music Gallery, which is located at 151 South St. Clair, Toledo, Ohio. The cover charge is $5.00 and the proceeds will go towards helping the owners of the Ground Level Coffeehouse settle outstanding bills.
