Ada Limón


Ada Limón is an American poet that was born in Somona, California on March 28, 1976. So far, she has three poetry collections and two chapbooks in print.

In the You Tube video, "Ada Limón in Conversation" that I posted, Ada compares the modern day poet to a button collector in that someone else might not get why you are passionate about it as a hobby- cool perspective....

Suheir Hammad


Suheir Hammad, a Palestinian-American poet and activist, was born in Amman, Jordan on October 25, 1973. Her parents were Palestinian refugees. When she was five years old, her family immigrated to Brooklyn, New York City.

Some of the books she has written are 'Born Palestinian,Born Black' , 'Breaking Poems', 'Drops of This Story', and 'ZaatarDiva'. Her words are powerful.....
