Frankie Metro joins Red Fez Publications as New Editor

The evolution of Red Fez Publications continues with the addition of Frankie Metro to the editorial staff.

FEZZERY. Thursday, June 2, 2011–Red Fez Publications has appointed Frankie Metro as associate fiction/non-fiction editor. Frankie joins the staff of Head Fiction Editor Patrick Simonelli, and will begin with the 35th issue of Red Fez, due out on June 13, 2011.

Frankie Metro is 28 years old and currently resides somewhere in Arizona. He is an Arthur Rimbaud and Henry Miller fanatic and enjoys the finer things in life such as surrealistic prose and graffiti art. He has been writing prose/fiction/non-fiction/poetry/screenplays/graphic novels for 15 years now. He attended Eastern Kentucky University where he majored in English Pre-Teaching with a minor in Sociology. You can find his work in such publications as:  Modus Operandi, Epic Rites Press (Tree Killer Ink Magazine), Unlikely Stories, Kerouac’s Dog Magazine, Shoots and Vines, Calliope Nerve, The Meth Lab, Horror Sleaze & Trash, Guerrilla Pamphlets, Pigeonbike Poetry, Curbside Splendor, Paraphernalia Quarterly.

When asked about his new position at Red Fez Frankie responded, “Red Fez promised me a lucrative contract when signing on with their editing staff. I was to be paid 6.5 million comic books a year for being their starting forward. Or the 2 guard spot if I wasn’t tall enough. I have yet to see a single issue of the new Hulk series (he’s fucking red now!), but company morale is still high. On a side note, I have been witness to strange occurrences around the office…such as Michael Grover making sweet love to the copy machine next to the break room and Tim Murray “boosting” Root Beer in the men’s bathroom.”

Red Fez Publication’s Editor in Chief Michele McDannold had this to say, “I’ll be pretending that Frankie is a gurl. We need some chic power around here. Claudia and I agree, we’ll share the women’s restroom with anyone but Timmy– he’s constantly stopping up the toilet with dirty diapers.”

Frankie begins his editing duties at Red Fez effective immediately.
