24th annual Interfaith Blood Drive

The 24th annual Interfaith Blood Drive is going to be held at:

Grace Lutheran Church 4441 Monroe St., Toledo, Ohio
         Saturday/Sunday June 25/26 from 9:00 am-3:00 pm
         *Free child care provided*

Please come and represent your house of worship. If you are unable to donate at the blood drive, you can donate either two weeks before the event or two weeks after the event at the American Red Cross Blood Services Donor Center. The American Red Cross Services Donor Center is located at 3510 Executive Pkwy, Toledo, Ohio. You must ask for the Interfaith Blood Drive sign in book.

This blood drive will cover the July 4th holiday in Northwest Ohio. They are in need of 300 pints each day.

If you do not want to give blood, you can still help by volunteering to set up the blood drive on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church. Volunteers are also needed for both days of the blood drive. Please contact Devorah at 419-841-4652 to volunteer and for a donation time.

They are also in need of home made baked goodies, fresh fruit, nuts, cheeses, and items to make a salad. Or if you prefer to make a monetary donation, they are a 501 (c)(3) organization, so any money donated is tax deductible.

The event will conclude with a Celebration of Life service, June 26, 2011 at 7:00 pm, at the Hindu Temple. The Hindu Temple is located at 4336 King Rd in Sylvania, Ohio. This will be a service where diversity is celebrated. This is not a religious service. There will be a lovely reception immediately following it.

Remember, if you do give blood, that it is important to make sure you eat and drink plenty of fluids before donating!
