Charles Wright reading "The Woodpecker Pecks, but the Hole Does Not Appear"




Poet Charles Wright is also a teacher at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He has won various prestigious literary awards such as the Griffin Poetry Prize, the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the National Book Award.

Currently, I am reading his book titled, "Black Zodiac" and one of my favorite poems in it so far is "Lives of the Artists", especially the first few lines...

"Learn how to model before you learn to finish things,
Michelangelo hisses....
Before you bear witness,
Be sure you have something that calls for a witnessing,"

Zombie haikus gone wild


Ok- I am a fan of the book "Zombie Haikus: Good Poetry For Your...Brains" by Ryan Mecum but this video took it too far with the footage of the zombie eating a human liver....LOL!
