During the July workshop, Dr. Catalano’s topics will include creating the form and structure of the manuscript, and scene development. He will cover the relationship between written and visual texts, and how to create your storyboard. Details of artistic concepts such as character development, point of view, and scene development will be explored. Insights on how to effectively portray the storyline with visual representation will be covered with a discussion of drawing, and hand painting techniques as well as available computer graphic tools. Preparing the story book dummy and market proposal will be explored. Case studies will be shared, and participants may ask questions and receive critique of their personal story books.
